De functieHead of Sales in the United Kingdom. You are well entered in the Garden – DIY – Food Retail Channels. You’ll be working with Key Accounts, Agents and Distributors. We’re already enjoying substantial business in the UK. We feel that based on our brands, products, new concepts, history in the UK and our growth in other export markets we should be able to triple our turnover in the coming years. (despite or thanks to Brexit) We expect you to be the professional to lead that. So your main objective would be: developing and executing a strategic sales plan to expand the business of the Edelman Brands in the UK. Product categories are: Pottery & Glassware, Home Accessories, a best of class Christmas Collection (artificial trees, lightning and decoration) and a great collection of artificial flowers and plants. So there is a wide area of opportunities for every channel and customer type. You’ll be working closely with colleagues of sales support, marketing and product development. While developing and creating your own team and presence. The ideal candidate knows the UK market inside out and has a proven track record building business in at least one of our channels. Typical for our business you understand the process and the logistical chain; You think in sell through. So next to thinking strategically, how to accelerate the growth efficiently, your also a pragmatic commercial talent that sees and grabs opportunities without sacrificing the long term qualitative goals. Track record in the UK in at least one of our channels
Ability to work effectively in an international team
Strong planning & organizing skills, focus on quality with a proactive and commercial attitude
Excellent (near native) in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
